Eads Hall's Origins

Eads Hall was constructed during 1902 and 1903 and was used by the Board of Lady Managers during the 1904 World's Fair. The Board of Lady Managers sought to promote women's rights, universal suffrage, and women's education1. Even before Compton's time at the university, Eads Hall served as a beacon of social progress in academia and a symbol of the future of learning.
